Tennessee Walking horses - Gold Bond
SIRE of Champions

Born on September 15m 1939, this chestnut son of Wilson's Allen was owned by Larry Moore, Jr.  Out of the mare, Kerby's Lady Lou, he was originally registered as Kerby's Gold Bond.  This  name was later shortened to Gold Bond.  Although not as illustrious as his half brother, Midnight Sun, this handsome stallion stood at Harlinsdale Farms  for many years.   In the years from 1943 to 1955, Gold Bond was bred to some of the top mares around, but he produced mostly mares.  Although the daughters of Gold Bond appear on the pedigrees of some of the industry's top horses, he failed to produce a son of any significance, and became, like Merry Go Boy, one more great stallion who sired predominantly winning distaff lines.
